On February 11th, 2020 the HR & Education Committee had a planned meeting at the American Corner at the Sofia City Library. Both Co-Chairs of the committee – Iva Todorova and Zlatina Kushkieva – welcomed the audience of 30 professionals from the AmCham HR community. The event had two main topics covered by some of the top-HR experts.

First, it was the presentation of Rumiana Bosseva, CEO, ARS Bulgaria on “Agile HR through Flexible Technologies”. There two major take-aways from it: “Companies face severe generation challenge so they have to integrate and harness differences. Also, modern technologies should meet the needs of today’s fast-changing environment,” she said. Generation challenges are seen in the speed of how generations see work-life balance, leadership, processes, infrastructure, and other factors. Employees’ engagement can be measured, but there is analysis beyond the engagement score.

The second presentation was the shared experience of Hewlett-Packard Global Delivery Bulgaria Center titled “Work That Fits Your Life”. It was delivered by Maya Peycheva-Takeva, Country HR Manager, and Radena Ivanova, Total Rewards Advisor Bulgaria & Turkey. Their teams efforts focus on enrichment of employee well-being by ensuring support during important life events such as parenthood, retirement transition support, wellness at work-place, etc. Key takeaways for the audience is the practical program implementation.

The delivered presentations were exclusively disseminated to the HR & Education Committee Members.
